FREEDOM
Effectively we've been on holiday since 9.30am yesterday!
After math paper ended.
EXAMS.HAVE.ENDED i'm free, mother, freeee!!
I went to watch Adam's Apples with viven and michelle after that.
We got to cine at 11.01 and the movie was at 11.05 so we got the tix right away.
It was pretty good. I've been wanting to watch a thought-provoking movie for a while. I don't think i can sit through something like nacho libre or click. Unless i am high on some fizzy drink and sugared popcorn.
It was about this neo-Nazi guy called Adam and his apple tree. End of story.
Ok not really. It's more complicated than that.
He goes to this church to do community service or something and meets the monk/priest?? Ivan who vaguely looks like the common artists' impression of Jesus with his long thin nose. (which sadly gets broken by Adam at least twice)
Anyway, Adam is supposed to bake an apple cake with the apples from the tree in the churchyard. But the tree starts getting plagues by crows, then worms and so on so Adam has a big problem getting apples from the tree. So with that the film kind of makes you question what real faith in God is, when you face all kinds of trials and tribulations in life.
Oh and that was the first time i officially watched an NC16 movie in a cinema (:
Not a bad way to spend the first hours of freedom. haha
We went to the orchard library after that.I borrowed an Insight guide on Florida, Sideways, Watchmen by Alan Moore and Close Range by Annie E. Proulx, which is in other words Brokeback Mountain and other stories. hahaha.
After i got home i watched all the monty python on youtube that is humanly possible before your brain shrivels at the retardedness but absolute delight that is dotty british humour. John Cleese is <3
Top 3 Monty Python sketches in the world according to me:
3. Dirty Fork Sketch
2. Ministry of Silly Walks
1. Dead Parrot Sketch.
"If it hadn't been nailed there it would've been pushing up the daisies!"
guffaw.
Mum's friends from England are in town so we went to Village at Heeren for Dinner.
It's exactly like Marche, just that the food's cheaper. They even have the painted cows!!! (which you can lift single-handedly by the nostrils by the way. but you really didn't need to know that)
Today.. what did i do today???
OH. dang my memory is going in the euphoria of this free spell.
Urmms.Oh i went teachers day present shopping with cel and micng!
Got lots of pretty things. And micng and i had one round of Daytona for old time's sake. Hahaha. It was almost a year ago that obsession took over against our better judgement in a certain shopping mall in Sydney. *grins*
