second second chances

This weekend has really flown by. I think i sort of went through everything in semi autopilot mode. Must be why people keep telling me i look tired. I think my eyes still look like they're going to close even though i've forgotten how sleepy i am with all the things to do...

On friday night i went for the chinese opera at Victoria Theatre with jiakang karen and nat. We went to support kelly! (: I like chinese opera! I discovered that i actually like chinese music. As in really really chinese opera music. Giving things a second chance has really proven to be worth it again. I know it is kind of cliche. If you dont like something or someone.. people tell you to give them a second chance. Cliches can actually be perfectly true. I guess they become irritating cliches that everyone is tired of hearing only because most of the time we dont listen. And people end up telling you to do the same thing everytime. Give it a second chance.

Saturday was a special day! OPEN HOUSE (: I spent almost the entire day in school..
When i bumped into xu yue i found out a most excellent thing for 303. We got into the national day dance thing! hurrah ((: We have class spirit okay..makes me feel sad when we keep getting scolded for apparently having no class spirit.

After leaving i passed by shaw house on the way home. Got to take more pictures for the handphone theme that i want to do for photog. Submission on TUESDAY. AAAAAH.
987 was doing the island escapade competition and participants had to do some complicated thing with their complicated nokia 3G phones. Ah well. I shall find out about complicated 3G one day.

And it was a joyous day for all potter fans. Book 6 is out! Yay! We've been waiting for 2 years. Havent got it yet but i got to hug and kiss and scream over yajie's book. She was crazy enough to wake up early to get it before open house.

And today! cmps again (: was quite fruitful you know. Its been quite good so far. A refreshing change from rs. It lets you do RS and service learning at the same time. You get to community problem solve!

Michelle and i (yes, michelle and michelle. we have great fun going "hi michelle! michelle here!" when we're on the phone) went to the big green field opposite borders to interview domestic helpers for our project. We need it to support our cause of reducing maid abuse cases in Singapore. We got 35 interviews! Some of them were really nice. They were so honest and very sincere. Cel got about 12 at her church. So we're only 3 short of our very ambitious target of 50. YES!! I hope we really can make a difference though...be a darling. STOP MAID ABUSE.
