super happy (=

I'm very very happy today (and yesterday). Feels like i can finally breathe properly again cos we've got less schoolwork this weekend. I think the teachers didn't give much because we're going for obs on monday. Or maybe they gave us so much these last two weeks so we wont have it hanging over obs... no wonder. Cos heidi has definitely got quite a lot of stuff to hand up after we come back.....

But its been more than one month since i last decided to update. Xin hui is right... last time i told her its easier to type when u get tired of writing your diary.... she said it was the other way round.

This year has the most long weekends so far. Like this weekend, cos yestereday was a public holiday. And soon, just 2 weeks away, we'll have Chinese New Year and a 5 day long weekend. Yeah man (=

Yesterday we had the first overnight stay for this year. It was at the Changi Fairy Point chalets again. This year it was decided that the youth have to prepare lunch themselves so that we learn to serve each other. So in the morning the first group cooked lunch. They wanted to cook onion rings and fry eggs but the stove was faulty and the fire was so small that he took 3 hours to fry the onion rings. So there was no time for the eggs... but the onion rings were nice!
Anyone who goes to fairy point chalets and intends to cook should bring a few small frying pans. The Tefal red spot ones are the best to use there cos the fire is so terribly small.

After lunch Uncle Raymond, who founded the We share-care centre for children and teenagers (sth like that...) came to give us a talk. He shared about why he decided to be involved in charity work, and about his experiences in life so far. The part that left the deepest impression on me is when he told us about how to forgive. Talking about this is important when he counsels the children whom he works with, because most of them have parents who don’t spend much time with them… or have lots of problems as well…

Next we started discussions on the 1st chapter of “The Purpose-Driven Life”. The church gave last year’s new members that book at the beginning of this year… so I have one…still have a lot of it to read!

After that we went to cook dinner. Lots of people helped which was really nice. We cooked the eggs and the luncheon meat. Thankfully they were quite edible.

Bells at 7.30 again... so I couldn’t stay over. Ah well. Still enjoying the nice long weekend (=
