walking through postcards
Greetings from Canada!
Glad i get a chance to use the com here in my uncle's house. The last 2 weeks have really flown by... first one week spent visiting all the relatives here, and then the last one week in the Canadian rockies. Kind of felt like i was walking through postcards everyday. I thought the tour in the rockies would be long, but its over!! First 2 nights in Jasper, then 1 night in Lake Louise and 2 nights in Banff. Everywhere you go, you can see the mountains and LOTS and LOTS of SNOWWW. I must say that Lake Louise was the most beautiful though. It froze over because it's winter now, and you can go skating on it while being surrounded by the mountains, thousands of conifers and a great view of Victoria Glacier.
Now i'm back in Vancouver, just got in a few hours ago... I really like it here, don't really imagine myself living here though. It's not as fast-paced as singapore. Got to do something i extremely enjoy, take lots and lots of photos. Stupidly brought only one memory card so i had to delete some bad photos. Either do it now or later anyway. Still can't take many many many photos with only one card though...but still got by anyway (=
Oh yes and i did lots of shopping too. In Alberta where the rockies are, its cheaper because there is only GST and no PST (provincial tax) as compared to here in British Columbia where Vancouver is because there is PST as well. They've got lots of sales cos Christmas is coming. The gifts, clothes, jewellery, bags and shoes are all really nice. Good for all of us! Chinese food is not bad too.
The sun has set already.. days are short in winter. Didn't go skiing though... maybe next time. And i must must try snowboarding at least once in my life.
Time to go do something now!....
